About Me
Hi there!
I'm Erin.
I help singers connect to Joy.
Let's get you feeling free, joyous and confident in how you sing, communicate, and creatively express yourself.
I'm so glad you are here!
Maybe this isn't just a singing thing....
You're ready to be free from that inner judge so that you can take more risks, prioritize yourself and be able to say what you need, as well as sing joyfully, freely, and confidently.
My Own Journey with my Voice.
When I graduated with my masters degree in voice performance from The Manhattan School of Music I was cast in the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera. It was a dream come true. I went on to perform in numerous productions and concerts, including the Broadway revival of A Little Night Music.
I had some incredible opportunities and creatively fulfilling experiences.
Behind the scenes....
I was dealing with severe performance anxiety and an intense inner critic. Not fun!
I was plagued with self doubt and stressed out a lot of the time.
That inner critic pushed me to keep going, do better, book the next audition, but did it in such a way that left me feeling incomplete; not good enough.
And then, one day, I had enough.
Deep down I knew there had to be a better way.
A better way to operate. A better way to live. (Like with more joy! Hello!?)
And I wanted to find out.
I completed a coaching certification program through Positive Intelligence and got clear on what I wanted from this next chapter in my life and who I wanted to serve.
In addition I successfully completed The Science of Well-Being course through Yale University as well as Claire Zammit's The Feminine Power Essential Course For the Awakening Woman.
I've been lucky to have so many awesome, supportive, loving teachers/ mentors who are still in my corner, cheering me on. (If you're reading this, thank you!!! I'm talking to you!!)
There was one, however that set me back and stunted my growth, using his power inappropriately. (A not so fun story for another day!)
Guiding someone on this journey of finding your voice is an enormous responsibility.
Because of that setback that I experienced, it has been my first priority to create a safe, loving, professional space for women to become empowered by connecting to their voices.
→A safe space in which to explore.
→A safe space in which to grow.
→A safe space in which to thrive.
Teaching private voices lessons for over 20 years and adjuncting for 10 years at SUNY Dutchess (where I taught countless voice lessons and courses) were incredible experiences that taught me so much about education, growing and the importance of student led learning.
Another defining chapter in my life was when I had Lyme disease.
I live in New York, so yeah, it's a thing!
There was no checking off the "to do" list.
I had to face this belief I had been living with.
Who am I if I'm not being productive? Am I then still lovable?
Can I love myself in that state?
Yes. Yes, I can.
I learned that I was still worthy of love from myself and others.
I realized that only I can decide for myself what makes me lovable.
→ I tuned into another kind of voice within me that encourages, that nurtures, that inspires, that is unconditional.
I also realized the importance of caring for my body and implementing a self care routine that supported my health. Physically and mentally.
Practices that in turn support my singing practice.
→And I began to appreciate how singing was an intregal part of my self care routine.
Singing became a practice that felt, nourishing, that felt empowering. I learned how to listen deeply, to respond to what my body was telling me and developed ownership over the process of connecting to my voice. I learned how to become my own teacher.
It is possible to experience ease, freedom and joy in your voice.
And it's also possible to experience:
→Confidence.
→Deep love and empathy for self.
→Creative freedom.
And what I've learned is, it's simple.
There are 3 Steps for Vocal Freedom
Step #1 Create a safe, loving environment to explore and grow.
Step #2 Develop and nurture deep listening tools and learn to connect to the wisest part of yourself to be your own best guide and teacher.
Step #3 Play in your sound making. Explore. Be curious. Rinse and repeat.
These defining moments have helped me to help those like you.
For the past 20 years I've been teaching voice and coaching hundreds of singers who've had huge breakthroughs with their voices and in their lives. Nothing brings me more joy than providing time, space, and guidance for those to reconnect to themselves in order to thrive.

"Working with Erin has been a foundational support in my pursuit to master the craft of singing. What began as a vague hobby led to discovering the psycho-physio connections between mind and body and it's application to freeing energy through sound. Lessons with Erin encompasses the techniques as taught by a badass professional singer as well as a safe and loving container to witness and support the student's capacity to grow as a creative medium, no matter the skill level and style. It has been exactly one year of us working together and the strength and beauty of my voice is near unrecognizable. The relationship I have built with my body and voice as supported by Erin is something I hope everyone can experience."
